OUR PROCESS

SOME OF OUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT EXTERIOR HOUSE PAINTING

How often should a home’s exterior be painted?
A house should generally be painted every 5 - 10 years, but the timeframe can vary depending on paint type, climate, the previous paint job, and if the house is subject to extreme weather and temperatures.
How can I extend the life of my home’s exterior paint?
You can help your exterior paint job last longer by routinely inspecting and maintaining your home’s exterior and avoiding harsh cleaners and pressure washers. Keeping trees, shrubs, and other landscaping trimmed back can prevent damage from branches scraping against the paint.
How do you charge?
Each estimate is different depending on the square footage of the space, hours needed, and type of surface. We cannot provide estimates over the phone, but we are happy to offer free estimates on the spot.
What type of paint do you use?
We use Sherwin Williams products and offer a wide variety of paint options to accomplish your desired outcome.
Do you require a downpayment?
A downpayment of 25% is required for all projects to reserve your spot on our calendar
Do you replace any wood rot?
We do minor repairs. If you need major repairs before we paint, we have someone we can recommend
How do you prep the exterior of my house before you paint it?
We start off with a chemical wash prior to painting the surface in order to remove any dirt or mold. We then sand any wood surfaces to insure a smooth finish. We also replace and nail down any lose boards. We then caulk, fill holes and cracks and mask before painting.
